Imagine a lime-green, brick-built popcorn gun that fires studs or a massive, detailed Klownzilla wrecking your lego city. For a long time, horror fans just assumed LEGO would never touch the weird stuff, leaving us to rely on MOCs. But the “no gore” rule is officially gone.
Just yesterday, leaker Max Baut dropped a massive update on Instagram for the 2026/27 Lego wave, and it looks like those Marvel Zombies sets are finally happening. If LEGO is down to make a set based on a TV-MA show, the gate is wide open.
There’s zero reason we shouldn’t have Killer Klowns from Outer Space. Klowns is only PG-13, and while the kills are messy, they’re basically slapstick. It’s time for LEGO to stop playing it safe, lean into nostalgia, and finally give us the sets we have been waiting for.
Potential sets
The absolute holy grail for any Killer Klowns fan would be a massive Big Top Spaceship. The ship/tent is so iconic that LEGO could easily give it the Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) treatment, packing it with a ton of different Klown minifigures. Since the movie’s interior geometry makes no sense spatial-wise, making the tent split open down the middle would be the smartest way to handle the build while keeping the price tag reasonable.
The Star Wars UCS death star set 75419 would be the best example of this layout. The real star here would be the color palette; using vibrant neon bricks would make this set completely pop on a shelf next to the otherwise grey and brown tones of Star Wars or Lord of the Rings UCS sets. For a killer play feature, LEGO could use translucent pink bubble pieces to let you trap regular minifigures inside the infamous cotton candy cocoons.
For a more affordable mid-tier option, Jo-Jo’s Ice Cream Truck would fit perfectly in that $45 to $60 sweet spot. LEGO probably wouldn’t launch a standalone horror vehicle out of nowhere, but as part of a wider wave, it’s a guaranteed day-one buy. The biggest design challenge here would be the giant clown head on the roof.
If LEGO makes it out of standard bricks, the mouth would look too blocky, but slapping a massive sticker across a curved slope usually doesn’t sit well with older collectors. To keep the focus on the movie’s final act, this set could skip the Klowns entirely and give us the human heroes in Mike, Debbie, and the Terenzi brothers.
To round out the wave, a location diorama of the Crescent Cove Police Station would be the perfect choice. This would bring some great variety to the lineup, giving us a highly detailed 18+ display piece.
The layout would feature the main front office with a grumpy Officer Curtis Mooney minifigure at his desk, and a door leading back to the jail cells. Naturally, this set would have to include a Jumbo minifigure, letting fans recreate the most iconic standoff in the whole movie.
