Star Wars Zero Company Surges Up Steam Charts Following Glowing First Reviews

On August 11th, the first wave of reviews for Star Wars Zero Company officially landed, with critics lavishing praise on both its gameplay and story. In fact, early praise is so strong that outlets like Cinelinx and Windows Central are already beginning up Game of the Year chatter. Writing for Windows Central, Jez Corden said, “Star Wars Zero Company is now a personal game-of-the-year contender, if indeed the full game continues to be as infectious and intriguing as the demo slice I played.” With early reactions like that, it is easy to see why the game is suddenly skyrocketing on Steam.

From Mid-Tier to Top Seller

Before early reviews dropped, Star Wars Zero Company was hovering quietly in the 90 to 115 range on Steam’s Top Sellers list. While respectable, those numbers hardly signaled a guaranteed, smash-hit blockbuster on the scale of a potential Star Wars Battlefront 3. That all shifted almost overnight, however, as glowing coverage began circulating across the gaming community—driving far more eyes to the title than EA’s limited marketing campaign had managed on its own. That sudden surge in interest is clear across social media too, where Zero Company has been consistently trending on Twitter over the last couple of days.

A Rapid Ascent

Over the past two days, the game has been on a relentless upward climb on the charts. The day before reviews dropped, building anticipation had already nudged the game into the 70s on the sales chart. Once early impressions officially went live, it rocketed straight into the Top 20 at number 19, charting just ahead of Madden 27 which officially releases tomorrow.

Today, that upward trend continued. Zero Company pushed even further, breaking into the Top 15 at number 14 and narrowly edging out the new Marvel Tokon. If this momentum holds and the final release lives up to the hype, Star Wars Zero Company is well on its way to becoming one of the year’s biggest breakout hits.
