Zero Company Still Growing as Weekend Player Counts Surpass Launch Day

If opening-day numbers for Zero Company were impressive, Saturday’s metrics are even better. Steam releases typically hit their peak player count on launch day, rarely matching those numbers again until a major sale down the line. Recent releases demonstrate this standard post-launch drop-off: Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 peaked at 7,949 players on launch day before dropping 23% to 6,127 by Day 3, while Marvel Tokon debuted at 24,419 concurrent players before falling 31% to 16,971 over the same timeframe.

Zero Company is bucking that trend entirely. Day 2 concurrents stayed essentially flat, dipping just 1% from the initial launch peak of 69,046. By early Saturday (Day 3), the game officially broke the 70,000 threshold, reaching 74,590 concurrent players to set a new record for the game. Because player counts on the first two days didn’t peak until around 20:00 UTC (4:00 PM EST), the tally still has room to climb higher before the weekend closes.

Surpassing launch-day metrics this quickly points to exceptional word-of-mouth momentum. That enthusiasm is mirrored directly in community feedback: Steam review scores have surged from an initial mixed rating of 51% up to 77% (“Mostly Positive”) across 5,000 reviews, all achieved without a single post-launch patch.
