A new turn-based tactics game is blowing up on Steam, crossing 60,000 concurrent players in its very first hour.

Even with a stacked fall lineup featuring massive titles like GTA 6, Phantom Blade Zero, and Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2, a strategy game is stealing the spotlight out of nowhere.

Zero Company number 1.

If you haven’t heard by now, Star Wars Zero Company, the latest release from Bit Reactor, officially launched today. Debuting to critical acclaim with an 86 Metacritic score, it currently stands as the highest-rated Star Wars game of the Disney era.

That hype translated straight into sales. After hovering in Steam’s top five best-sellers all week, Zero Company claimed the number-one spot over the last two days. That momentum exploded at launch, pulling in over 63,000 concurrent players within the first 60 minutes. At this pace, it should easily break the 100,000 concurrent mark. Skipping a mandatory EA login requirement clearly cleared the runway for PC players.

The surge isn’t stopping on Steam, either. The game is already climbing the charts on Twitch, surpassing 56,000 live viewers and breaking into the top 10 most-watched games on the platform.
